Hip Impingement Treatment

USC Orthopaedic Surgery / Treatments / Hip Impingement Treatment

Rest, a temporary reduction or elimination of activity, physical therapy and exercise to strengthen specific muscles and anti-inflammatory medicines may be prescribed by your doctor to relieve stress and pain in the hip and groin area.

If nonsurgical options are not successful, your doctor may recommend arthroscopy to shave the bone and, if needed, repair the torn labrum.
