Nerve Grafting

A nerve graft replaces the damaged portion of a nerve with a healthy nerve segment taken from another part of the body or from a donor. Once the transplanted nerve is surgically grafted in place, it will grow new nerve fibers, the goal being that the patient will regain sensory and motor function.
